On the afternoon of March 19, 2023, President Simon Shun-Man HO of Hang Seng University of Hong Kong was invited to deliver a special lecture for SoB faculty and students titled “Myths of Artificial Intelligence and Humanistic Literacy.” SHEN Minghao, Director of the Publicity Division of CPC Department of Faculty Affairs and United Front Work Department of the CPC Committee at GDUFS, and Professor YUAN Denghua, Executive Dean of SoB, attended the lecture. The lecture was presided over by Professor YUAN Denghua. After the lecture, SHEN Minghao praised it highly as having “height in thinking, depth in thought, thickness in theory, breadth in knowledge, and strength in rational analysis.” He also encouraged the students in attendance, from three angles—being adept at asking good questions, actively embracing uncertainty, and daring to step out of their comfort zone—to continuously improve their abilities in order to adapt positively to new changes.
