According to the Regulations on the Management of International Exchange Students of GDUFS and the cooperation agreement between GDUFS and Marquette University, a number of undergraduate students will be selected in the first semester of 2024-2025 to participate in the 3+1+1 combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program at Marquette University. The program is scheduled from September 2024 to June 2026 (subject to the course schedule of Marquette University). The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
I. Application requirements
1. Full-time undergraduate students of the Class of 2021 of School of Business (SoB) (both Innovation Class and Regular Class are eligible).
2. Candidates should have high overall quality, good moral character, no disciplinary record, and be in good health to successfully complete all study requirements (including during the selection semester).
3. Excellent academic performance: Applicants must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (inclusive) from the first semester until the present, with no single course below 2.0. This requirement must be met at the time of application, qualification review, and prior to departure; Applicants for Marquette University’s MBA program must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above (inclusive), with no single course below 2.0. This requirement must be met at the time of application, qualification review, and prior to departure.
4. Language proficiency: TOEFL: 79 (minimum required subscores: Reading 18, Listening 18, Speaking 20, Writing 20; MyBest® scores accepted); IELTS: 6.5 overall (minimum required subscores: Reading 6.5, Listening 6.5, Speaking 6.5, Writing 6.0); Duolingo English Test: 115. (Applicants who already meet the above requirements will receive priority recommendation during internal selection. These criteria are set by Marquette University and are not compulsory for the GDUFS application stage; submission of language scores is not required for school-level application.)
5. Applicants must complete the following general/required courses by the 7th semester:
(1) College English: all completed (for non-English majors);
(2) Required mathematics courses: all completed (if applicable);
(3) Required statistics courses: all completed (if applicable);
(4) Required computer courses: all completed;
(5) Required ideological and political courses: all completed;
(6) Required physical education courses: all completed;
(7) Second foreign language: all completed (for English majors);
(8) General elective courses: all completed.
6. Applicants must complete all other major courses (except for graduation thesis and professional internship) before the 7th semester. For questions, please contact Instructor Liu.
7. Students are allowed to apply for only one program and one major. Applications for multiple programs are not permitted. As U.S. visa processing may take a long time, applicants must wait until the selection results of this program are released before applying for other programs. Once the selection results are announced, admitted students are not allowed to withdraw arbitrarily.
II. Schedule
