1. About the Youth League Committee and Student Union of School of Business
The Youth League Committee and Student Union of School of Business (SoB), led by GDUFS Communist Youth League Committee and the Party Committee of SoB, is a key student organization. It serves as a bridge between SoB and its students, a stage for fostering and enriching SoB’s culture, and a platform for cultivating well-rounded talent. Guided by the principle of “serving students wholeheartedly,” the Union is committed to carrying out its organizational functions through self-management, self-service, and self-supervision, hosting activities, and promoting students’ overall development. The Youth League Committee of SoB consists of seven functional departments: the Office, the Organization Department, the Practice Department, the News and Information Department, the Network and New Media Department, the Publicity Department, and the Quality Development and Exchange Department. The Student Union consists of four functional departments: the Rights Research Department, the Academic and International Exchange Department, the Arts and Culture Department, and the Sports Department. The Youth League Committee and the Student Union actively engage in student affairs, creatively organizing a wide range of campus cultural activities to support students’ academic growth and holistic development.
Flagship activities: Simulated Trade Fair, Cultural Festival, Business Case Analysis Competition, “School of Business Cup” Sports Tournament, Freshmen Choir Festival, Voices of South China Youth, Business Case Analysis Competition, English Speaking Skills Contest, Rights Week Knowledge Quiz and other activities.
2. About Student Interest Groups of School of Business
The Student Interest Groups of School of Business (SoB) are student organizations voluntarily formed by students with shared interests, led by the Party Committee of SoB and guided by the Youth League Committee of SoB. They operate independently in accordance with their constitutions. These groups adhere to the principles of combining ideological, academic, artistic, and diverse elements. They aim to unite and engage young students by organizing well-directed, uplifting, refined, and varied activities, enriching campus life, promoting cultural vibrancy, and fostering students’ all-round development in virtue, intellect, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills. There are 18 student interest groups in total, covering five categories: ideological and political, volunteer and public service, self-discipline and mutual support, culture and sports, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
Flagship activities: Red Classics Recitation and Performance Competition, Party History Knowledge Contest, Book Donation Volunteer Program, Community Elderly Care Volunteer Program, “Alumni Cup” Badminton Tournament, Alumni Lecture Series, Career Planning Competition, Admissions Promotion Campaign, “525” Mental Health Month Series, “Self-Reliance Star” Award Program, Creative Fair, Debate Competition, among others.
