To better care for and support university students participating in the Western Program, promptly understand the needs of the service units and the local project offices, and enhance the management level of the project office, on June 27, 2023, TANG Rui, Deputy Chairperson of GDUFS, LIU Lang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee in GDUFS, and XIAO Ximing, Chairperson of SoB, went to Xinjiang to visit and show solicitude for members of GDUFS’s Postgraduates Voluntary Teacher Group and Western Program volunteers, and held a work symposium. WEI Haoyang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Third Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, LIU Feifei, Deputy Secretary, WANG Tao, Vice Principal of the No.1 Middle School of the Third Division, LIU Qing, Vice Principal of the No.1 Middle School of the Third Division and Head of the Dongguan “Group-style” Xinjiang Aid Education Talent Teacher Group, as well as representatives from the Third Division No.1 Middle School, the Xinjiang team of the GDUFS 8th Qingyan Postgraduates Voluntary Teacher Group, and two Western Plan volunteers attended the meeting.

At the symposium, XU Yuehao, Captain of the Xinjiang Branch of the 8th Session of GDUFS “Qingyan” Postgraduates Voluntary Teacher Group and 2022 graduate of SoB, gave a detailed report on the work of the teaching corps over the past year. He expressed heartfelt thanks to the support and help from the Project Office of the Youth League Committee of the Third Division, the No.1 Middle School of the Third Division, and leaders and teachers of GDUFS. He also stated that he would diligently complete the handover of work in the remaining time, standing firm at his post until the very end. Moving forward in his studies and work, he vowed to remain true to his original aspirations as a volunteer, striving with unwavering determination and forging ahead with purpose.
