The Ministry of Education recently released the 2024 results of the record and approval process for undergraduate programs at institutions of higher education. Among them, School of Business (SoB) has been approved to offer a new undergraduate program in “Big Data Management and Application”.

In recent years, SoB has focused on developing first-class undergraduate programs, while continuously strengthening its distinctive approach to cultivating talent with an emphasis on internationalization and digitalization. It has worked to optimize curricula, reform the teaching system, and strengthen program foundations while enriching academic content. These efforts have led to steady improvements in both student enrollment and graduate employment, laying a solid foundation for disciplinary development and international accreditation. The approval of the new program marks a significant milestone in SoB’s academic development. This initiative not only responds to the needs of national economic growth, social transformation, and educational reform, but also represents a concrete step in advancing the strategic plan of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) for program expansion. Looking ahead, SoB will take the establishment of this program as an opportunity to further deepen educational reform, comprehensively improve teaching quality and talent cultivation, and promote the high-quality development of its disciplines.
