Rural revitalization serves as both a major national development strategy and a grand stage for youth to make contributions. This summer vacation, the “Hundreds-Thousands-Tens of Thousands” Initiative task force of GDUFS’ Business Across the World Practice Group (hereinafter referred to as the “Practice Group”) traveled to Baini Town, Sanshui District, Foshan City. Focusing on the cultural tourism industry at the county, town, and village levels, they explored distinctive development experiences integrating “culture + new media”. Armed with professional knowledge and youthful creativity, they conducted field research and face-to-face interviews to uncover highlights of Baini Town's cultural and tourism industry. Their efforts promoted the local tourism brand centered on “exploring ancient villages, savoring culture, strolling through flower fields, and tasting local delicacies,” thereby advancing the revitalization of Baini Town’s cultural tourism industry. Guided by the concept of “creating new tourism formats integrating culture, tourism, and culinary heritage while exploring new pathways for rural revitalization,” the team conducted field research to further investigate Baini Town's cultural tourism development models combining “cultural creativity + tourism,” “cultural creativity + cuisine,” “cultural creativity + agriculture,” and “cultural creativity + lacquer art.” It put forward suggestions such as digital new media empowerment and thematic construction, providing a new direction for Baini Town’s cultural and tourism development.
