To further advance SoB’s first-class course development and Curriculum Ideology and Politics construction, better leverage the leading role of demonstration courses, share experiences in Curriculum Ideology and Politics development, and enhance exchanges among faculty, Professor CHEN Yu, a National Outstanding Promoter of University Quality Education, Nanyue Excellent Teacher, and one of the first National Curriculum Ideology and Politics Teaching Masters, was invited to deliver a teaching and research forum titled “Development and Practice of National-level Curriculum Ideology and Politics Demonstration Course” on the afternoon of June 8. YUAN Denghua, Executive Dean, ZENG Chuhong, Associate Dean, directors of departments, and faculty representatives attended the lecture. Professor CHEN Yu shared her experience in applying for the National Model Course initiative, covering multiple aspects including policy documents, ideological and political education teaching design and practice, methods for identifying ideological and political elements, approaches to integrating ideological and political content, and diverse teaching evaluation methods. Through this exchange on ideological and political education model courses, our faculty gained clearer insights into course development and deeper appreciation for exploring teaching methodologies in ideological and political courses. This initiative further advances the construction of first-class courses and ideological and political education model projects, driving the high-quality development of SoB.
