On December 9, the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (AMBA & BGA) held the Excellence Awards ceremony. SoB of GDUFS won the Gold Award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability Initiative, and Professor YUAN Denghua, Executive Dean of SoB, attended the online award ceremony and delivered a speech via video. This is the first time that a Chinese institution has received this honor. SoB at the American University in Cairo (Egypt) and Audencia Business School in Nantes (France) won the silver and bronze awards in this category, respectively.

This year’s AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards featured 10 categories, contested among 50 business schools worldwide that made the shortlist. The Best CSR and Sustainability Initiative award aims to encourage and recognize business schools for practicing social responsibility and advancing global sustainable development. SoB of GDUFS, upholding the “SMILE” values of “Social Responsibility, Inclusiveness, Integrity, Integration of Knowledge and Practice, and Entrepreneurship,” integrates corporate social responsibility and sustainable development into the entire talent cultivation process. Relying on national-level premium courses such as Contemporary Business Ethics and Social Responsibility and Business Ethics and Sustainable Development, SoB focuses on cultivating high-quality international business elites who are visionary, responsible, and possess a strong sense of social responsibility and sustainable development mindset, thereby sending a large number of outstanding talents to serve major national and local development needs. SoB’s innovative practices in talent cultivation to promote sustainable development have been recognized by international accreditation organizations. SoB will take “cultivating high-end international business talents” as its mission and “becoming a high-level business school with distinctive international characteristics” as its vision, continually innovating and optimizing its talent training model, consistently enhancing the reputation and influence of GDUFS’s business education, and contributing more wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of global business education.
