He also updated attendees on the network’s latest collaborative progress. Subsequently, each representative introduced the progress of innovation and entrepreneurship education at their respective institutions.
Professor Andrew Lock, Chairperson of the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network and Chair of the AMBA International Accreditation Advisory Board, expressed his gratitude in his speech to the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He noted that entrepreneurship education in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative is a great opportunity for business schools, as it can facilitate the organization of thematic series events and help business schools find suitable partners at home and abroad. Professor Lock believes that in this new era, entrepreneurship education requires not only cultivating students’ entrepreneurial spirit, but also conducting scientific research to support entrepreneurship. In addition, he introduced the upcoming Business Graduates Association (BGA) accreditation by AMBA aimed at business schools. The BGA plans to use Guangdong’s universities as pilot institutions to explore cooperation with Guangdong’s economics and management schools, and also to create a new platform for inter-institutional exchange.
