On October 16th , Teacher Forum, one of the series of “Teacher Education Project” and “Secretary Project” activities was held at Room 360 of the Faculty Building. Dean ZhuWenzhong, Party Secretary Li Hua, Teachers of Department of BusinessAdministration Ding Hao, Meng Ding and Liu Fanglong, Teachers of Department ofMarketing Zhang Hongming, Wang Weihong, Wu Qingjin, Teachers of Department ofHuman Resources An Fansuo, Zhang Xinggui, Yuan Fang, Teachers of Department ofLogistics Management Ma Feixiong, Fu Qiufang, Shen Zhonghua and director of theoffice Xu Yiqing attended the forum. The meeting was hosted by Li Hua.
Professors expressed their warm welcome to the joiningof young teachers, expressed their help to the growth of young teachers, whichis the incumbent responsibility of all the teachers of the School. All theparticipants exchanged their own understanding of the posts and duties ofteachers, talked about their personal experience of teaching and education.Participants are enthusiastic. They frequently interacted with each other,which creating the warm atmosphere.
Vice Professor Zhang Hongming made the speech firstly.He said teacher was the person who taught students with knowledge and told studentsthe way to live and answer students’ questions. A teacher should be strict tostudents in teaching, care for students in life and spread the positive attitudein the classroom teaching.
Professor Zhang Xinggui stressed that the consciousnessof rules, thinking that there is no real education if there is no rule andteachers should be confident to guide students to consciously abide byclassroom discipline and school discipline.
Professor Meng Ding believed that we should payattention to the common talent education, cultivate students' ability ofself-learning, teach knowledge in a three-dimensional way instead of emphasizingon the importance of specialized courses unilaterally.
Professor Wang Weihong believed that, to love andrespect their jobs, is the basic quality of qualified teachers. We shouldattach importance to the theoretical basis and practical teaching, payattention to practice education, innovation education, cultivate and improvestudents' speculative ability.
Professor Fu Qiufang advocated the strengthening ofstudent sports training, strict norms of student classroom discipline, guidanceto students to respect teachers, innovative teaching model, combination withthe focus of social issues and business practice teaching.
Professor An Fan believed that undergraduate educationshould focus on practical teaching, theoretical teaching, and development ofstudents’ critical thinking. The outstanding graduate stories should be putinto the teaching case as a sense of example to enhance students'self-confidence.
Associate Professor Ma Feixiong said that undergraduateeducation should pay attention to classroom teaching. Excellent teacher'sresponsibility is teaching good lessons, combing scientific research withteaching work. Scientific research is a supplement to teaching and teaching canpromote scientific research.
Associate Professor Ding Hao said that young teachersshould make active efforts in teaching, research and social services. Throughpassing on experiences, they should exchange with each other, learn from eachother so that they will be able to go further.
Young teachers Wu Qingjin, Yuan Fang, Shen Zhonghua, LiuFanglong also made speeches. They agreed that it is inspired to exchange withthe old teachers and they have learned a lot. Old teachers shared theirvaluable experience and teaching and educating methods, which has a lifelongbenefit. They believed that the relationship between the teacher and thestudent is not only the relationship of knowledge, but also the identity ofvalue, which is teaching students who you want to be and how to do. Teachersshould learn from the old professors, strictly grasp the classroom discipline,enhance interactions with students and share the experiences and happiness ofcomprehensive application of professional knowledge. Teachers should alsoimprove teaching methods, actively carry out case teaching and practicalteaching exploration and devote themselves to the development of the School.
Zhu Wenzhong said that we should pay attention to thecoordination of teaching and research, further increase efforts on teachingreforms, strive to achieve more and better teaching result and focus oncultivating top teachers and top lessons. We should be dedicated, care forstudents, actively spread the core values of SMILE, and help the value runsthrough the whole process of teaching and educating. We should also cultivatebusiness leaders with good faith values and social responsibility for thecountry.
Li Hua said that the School of Business seriouslyimplement the spirit of the seventh undergraduate teaching work conference,making full use of the secretary project platform and concerning about thegrowth of young teachers, which have made gratifying achievements. There areseveral words which can be used to describe the School of Business:responsibility, mission, preciseness, persistence. With the unity and mutualsupport of teachers and the efforts of the students, there is a bright futurefor the School of Business!
