The 12th China-Japan Management Forum Held Ceremoniously

   On October28, 2017, the 12th China-Japan Management Forum was held in GDUFS with the theme of Business Internationalization against the Background of the “Belt and Road”. People who attended the meeting and the opening ceremony include Vice President Jiao Fangtai, Director Chen Yanhui of Academic Research Division, Director Cai Hong of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Dean Zhu Wenzhong, Party Secretary Li Hua, Deputy Deans Yuan Denghua,Liang Jie, Qiu Weinian and Ding Hao, and Deputy Party Secretary Luo Haiyang of School of Business, Professor Iwahashi Chutoku, Professor Musha Kanae, Dr. Hirai Takayuki of Sapporo University in Japan, Associate Professor Dong Linping and teachers Wu Bing and Zheng Qinghuan of School of Business of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). Before the forum, Vice President Jiao met with WangZhiping, Assistant to the Dean of the Confucius Institute at Sapporo University,Deputy Dean Li Yugang of School of Business, ECUST, and his party at the VIP Hall of GDUFS.

 

At 9 a.m., the opening ceremony of the Forum was held at the International Conference Hall of Administration Building in the north campus. First of all, Vice President Jiao addressed on behalf of GDUFS by congratulating on the opening of this forum and welcoming the presence of experts from Sapporo University and ECUST. He indicated that an effective mechanism for cooperation and exchanges has been formed between GDUFS and Sapporo University, and there is a great objective necessity to carry out exchanges and cooperation between GDUFS and ECUST. He pointed out that this forum will play a positive role in enhancing the friendship of experts and scholars,exchanging academic research results and cultivating business talents among three universities. He hoped that School of Business can continue to take advantageof cultivating interdisciplinary talents and utilize the “4+2” training model for global business talents, focusing on cultivating business elites for China.

 

On behalf of Sapporo University’s president and its Confucius Institute’s chairman, WangZhiping made a speech. He welcomed GDUFS as a new partner of the China-Japan Management Forum, and pointed out that the forum, as the key project of Sapporo University, has played an important role in popularizing sinology. Through reviewingthe 11-year development of the forum, Wang hoped that this forum can not only promote exchanges, enhance friendship, deepen mutual understanding, and strengthen cooperation among three universities, but also make contributions to aharmonious relationship between China and Japan.

 

On behalf of ECUST,Li Yugang expressed his appreciation to GDUFS and Sapporo University for hosting the Forum together, and hoped that the China-Japan Management Forum couldbe sustained. At the same time, he introduced students and teachers from ECUST, and welcomed teachers from GDUFS and Sapporo University to attend the 13th China-Japan Management Forum held in ECUST.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Dean Zhu Wenzhong of School of Business of GDUFS.

 

After the opening ceremony, Professor An Fansuo of School of Business, GDUFS,Professor Wang Zhiping of Sapporo University, Professor Li Yugang of ECUST andforeign teacher William Hickey of School of Business, GDUFS, successively madekey note speeches. Under the theme of the Forum, they expounded the internationalization of enterprises against the background of the “Belt andRoad” from different perspectives and with various theories and methodologies.

 

   

In the afternoon, the forum entered into the stage of group discussion. The first session was chaired by Professor Wang Zhiping, in which Professor Iwahashi Chutoku of Departmentof Accounting in Sapporo University, Associate Professor Wu Bing of School of Business in ECUST, Professor Liu Jinju of Faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures, Professor Li Qing, researchers Han Yonghui and Xu Fei of Guangdong Institute for International Strategies, and Dr. Guan Pianpian of School of Business of GDUFS voiced in the discussion.

 

The second session was chaired by Professor Li Yugang, in which Professor YangXiaoyan and Associate Professor Zhang Hongming of School of Business, Professor Musha Kanae of Department of Economics and Dr. Hirai Takayuki of Women’s Junior College in Sapporo University, and Associate Professor Dong Linping, Dr. ZhengQinghuan of School of Business of ECUST, made speeches respectively.

 

The 12th China-Japan Management Forum, jointly hosted by GDUFS, Sapporo University and ECUST, and co-organized by Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and School of Business of GDUFS, will play a positive role inpromoting the study on the internationalization of enterprises against the backgroundof the “Belt and Road”, the construction of management discipline in GDUFS, and the training of high-end business talents in School of Business.
