The First Training Class in the Second Half of 2014 for Executives of Guangdong Micro-Credit Companies Opened-Events

July 1st, 2014 marks the 17thanniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China and it is also the birthday of CPC. On this day, the 2014 Training Class for Executives of Guangdong Micro-Credit Companies (Phase 6) opened. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Jin Shenghong, director of Guangdong Provincial Financial Affairs Office, Ms. Xu Jing, general secretary of Guangdong Micro-Credit Business Association, Mr. Hou Guangping, Chairman of Zhuhai Xihai Micro-Credit Company. The ceremony was chaired by Ms. Xu.

Chairman Hou expressed in his speech that during the four months of preparation, the Provincial Financial Affairs Office, Micro-Credit Association and GSB have made considerable efforts. He hoped to exchange views with other executives via this training to promote the sound and stable development of the micro-credit industry in Guangdong Province.

Dean Sun first welcomed all the attending guests and then asked them to file precious suggestions in the training. When explaining the philosophy of GSB, She pointed out that the “Global Vision, English Teaching” is in accordance with the university’s motto, which means “internationalization” has become an integral part of GSB. In addition, Dean Sun pointed out that apart from cooperation programs with 25 universities in the world, GSB had started cooperation with SKEMA on DBA.


Director Jin praised the former five phases of training, pointing out that up till this phase, more than 400 executives had received training. In the future, Micro-Credit companies will play a more important role in rural financial market.

A series of distinguished guests were invited to analyze the framework and impart practical experience of the micro-credit industry to the executives, which serves to further promote development of the micro-credit industry.
