In the afternoon of December 16th, the  inauguration ceremony of Maritime Silk Road Fieldwork Base basing on the  strategic cooperation between GDUFS and Guangzhou Jiacheng International  Logistics Co.,Ltd. was held at Guangzhou Jiacheng International Logistics  Co.,Ltd. Participants included Yang Li, Deputy Director of Teaching Affairs  Department of GDUFS, Zhu Wenzhong, Executive Director of the School of Business,  Deputy Dean Qiu Weinian, Deputy Secretary Luo Haiyang, Zhang Liangwei,  Director of International Logistics and Transport Research Center, Yang Xin,  Instructor of Logistic Department, Huang Yanyun, Vice-general Manager of  Guangzhou Jiacheng International Logistics Co.,Ltd., Administrative Director  Zheng Yuming and Yin Yizhong, Senior Manager of Human Resources.

Vice-general Manager Huang Yanyun stated in  the inauguration ceremony that Guangzhou Jiacheng International Logistics  Co.,Ltd. was evaluated as China’s Outstanding Logistics Enterprise In 2010 by  China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The company plans to invest 500  million RMB in Nansha Tianyun warehousing facilities and 2 billion RMB in  Dongchong warehousing facilities.

Yang Li, Deputy Director of Teaching  Affairs Department,stated that Maritime Silk Road Fieldwork Base, which  relies on the strategic cooperation of two sides, is the first maritime silk  road fieldwork base of the School of Business as well as GDUFS. The fieldwork  base aims to tap into students’ potential with social practice.

Dean Zhuwenzhong stated that as China  implements its “Belt and Road” Strategy, to facilitate the connection between  logistics talents and enterprises is a significant topic of talent training.  He pointed out that such topic has far-reaching impact on business school’s  logistics major program serving the development of free trade zone and  implementation of “maritime silk road” strategy.  

Dean Zhu Wenzhong and Vice-general manager  Huang Yanyun then jointly signed the “Administrative Agreement of  Students’Internship”between GDUFS and Jia Cheng Company.And Yang Li, Zhu  Wenzhong, Qiu Weinian, Luo Haiyang, Zhang Liangwei, Huang Yanyun and Zheng  Yuming unveiled the plaque of fieldwork base together.

After the unveiling ceremony, both sides  explored on the details of the student’s internship program.
