In the morning of December 24^th,the EPAS International Accreditation Work Coordination Meeting and Seminar ofGDUFS were successfully held at the First Meeting Room of the AdministrativeBuilding of North Campus. The seminar was attended by He Chuantian, VicePresident of GDUFS, Dean of School of Business(GSB) and Prof. Wang Fan,International Accreditation Expert, Vice Dean of the Sun Yat-Sen BusinessSchool, Chi Diantang, Deputy Director of the Academic Programmes Division, ChenRun, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Division, Yi Zongyong, DeputyDirector of the International Office, Li Jumin,Deputy Director of the FinancialAffairs Division, Liu Zhonghua Dean of the School of Accounting, Zhu Wenzhong,Executive Dean of GSB, Liang Jie, Vice Dean of GSB, Zuo Zhigang, Vice Dean ofthe School of Accounting, Tang Sheng and Deputy Party Secretary of GSB LuoHaiyang. Qiu Weinian, Vice Dean of GSB, chaired the meeting.    

At 10 in the morning, Qiu Weinianannounced the open of the meeting. Zhu Wenzhong introduced the background ofGSB's application for EPAS accreditation and explained the importance of EPASaccreditation to the school and finally summarized the preparatory work in thisstage. After the project was incorporated into the project management andAcademic Programs Division at the beginning of 2015, it had been supported byall functional departments of, and related investigations had also been carriedout in an orderly way.

He Chuantian stressed the need to pass EPASaccreditation as soon as possible to ensure our leading position inuniversities in Guangdong. He asked all relevant faculties and departments toimprove their work efficiency, set up special project groups, establish goodmechanisms, work out practical schedules to promote EPAS accreditation in anorderly and efficient way.

Wang Fan introduced the EPAS internationalaccreditation program. Wang Fan first discussed the urgency of participating ininternational accreditation, and pointed out that "To be aninternationally first-class has to carry out international accreditation"has become a consensus. Then, he introduced the three major internationalbusiness school accreditation systems, particularly the EPAS accreditation.Wang Fan also shared the successful experience of passing internationalaccreditation by the Sun Yat-Sen Business School.
