On June 17th, the delegation from Arizona State University paid a visit to GDUFS. Fang Fanquan, Vice President of GDUFS met with the members of the delegation, including Ajay Vinze, Associate Vice Provos, Pro. Eric Wertheimer, Vice Dean of Graduate College, Prof.William Brashears, Director of Global Education Services, Thunderbird School of Global Managementand Angela Zhao, leader of the its international projects in Asia. Wu Junfeng, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Zhu Wenzhong, Executive Dean of GDUFS School of Business and Liang Jie, Assocaite Dean of GDUFS School of Business were present. In the morning, the delegation, in the company of Qiu Weinian, Associate Dean of GDUFS SOB and Zhou Ning, Foreign Affairs Assistant, met with students from international innovation and business management class 14 and 15. Prof. Ajay Vinze introduced Arizona State University and W. P. Carey School of Business to the students and gave a detailed account of the 3 + 1 + 1 joint undergraduate-postgraduate program. The delegation spoke highly of our students' fluency in English and their eagerness to learn. In the afternoon, the delegation headed by Prof.Ajay Vinze had in-depth discussionwith SOB on cooperation around themes like“strenghening partnership between two universities by taking advantage of innovation”and “interdisciplinary resource utilisation”. Wu Junfeng, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Zhu Wenzhong, Executive Dean of GDUFS SOB, Ding Hao, Director of Business Administration Department, Zhou Ning, Foreign Affairs Assistant, MiaoXueling, teachers' representative and Liang Yan, Supervisor of International Affairs, etc. were present.
After in-depth exchanges during this visit, the two sides reached a consensus on expandingthe scale of “3 + 1 + 1 joint undergraduate-postgraduate program”, scientific and research cooperation, exchange visits between teachers, short-term visits between students and other projects.
