On the morning of December 2nd, 2016 AIBSEAR Guangzhou Conference was held in the International Conference Hall of GDUFS. This conference was co-organized by Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies at Lingnan University and GDUFS Collaborative Innovation Center for 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road and hosted by School of Business, GDUFS. The conference attracted more than 100 representatives from over 40 countries and regions, including deans of prestigious business schools, deans of school of foreign languages,scholars and entrepreneurs.
The conference was chaired by Prof. He Chuantian, Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Dean of School of Business. President Zhong Weihe delivered a welcome speech, hoping to take the opportunity of this conference to further promote our goals of building an internationalized and high-level university.
Then, Prof. Cui Geng, Chairman of the Southeast Asian Chapter of the Academy of International Business delivered a speech. He said that the conference was held in China for the fourth time in sixteen years. On behalf of all the participants, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to GDUFS (especially the Conference Affairs of the Business School), guests who delivered a speech, paper reviewers and other relevant personnelfor the efforts they paid.
Prof. Li Jiatao, Associate Dean of HKUST Business School and Yang Quanxing, General Manager of GUANGDONG TEXTILES IMP. & EXP. CO. , LTD were invited to made a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. The conference was held from December 2nd to December 4th. In addition to the special symposium on “Connectivity and Prosperity: ASEAN Economic Community and China’s Belt and Road Initiative”, there were 17 panel discussions. On the afternoon of December 2nd, Business School Forum was held at GDUFS.
The conference is an important event for our international cooperation and exchangeand plays a very important role in promoting the exchange between GDUFS and business schools of famous universities as well as scholars at home and abroad. |
