The Advisory CommitteeMeeting of School of Business of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies(GDUFS), with the theme of “‘The Belt and Road’ and the Innovation andDevelopment of School of Business”, was held in the meeting room 402 of MBAEducation Center on December 16, 2016. Over ten people participated in themeeting including He Chuantian, the Vice President of GDUFS and Dean of Schoolof Business, Lan Hailin, professor of School of Management of South ChinaUniversity of Technology, Virginia Trigo, professor of School of Management ofISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon, Sun Xiaoqin, chief strategy officer ofGuangzhou Rural Commercial Bank, Yang Quanxing, general manager of GuangdongTextiles Imp. & Exp. Co. Ltd, Chen Sheng, chairman of the board ofTiandiYihao Beverage Co. Ltd, Chen Dongfeng, vice general manager of EvergrandeGroup, Zhang Ziku, CEO of SDE International Education, JinHaiteng, president ofShanghai Rongzhidao Financial Solutions and lifetime consultant of ChinaGuangfa Bank, Zhou Zongyou, chairman of the board of Guangdong Eagle Gifts Co.Ltd, Hu Yong, managing director of Banner Engineering International Corp. inChina region, Huang Bingti, chairman of the board of FSPG Hi-tech Co. Ltd. Themeeting is chaired by Zhu Wenzhong, executive dean of School of Business, andrelevant leaders of the school attended the meeting.

At the beginning, HeChuantian expressed his heartfelt thanks and welcome to all advisors andgranted them certificates.

Zhu Wenzhong said, theSchool of Business of GDUFS has distinct international features, and obtainedAMBA international accreditation in 2015, making the school China’s 26th andthe world’s 225th School of Business that obtained AMBA internationalaccreditation. In 2016, the school was successful in obtaining the membershipof European EMFD, a good start to obtain EPAS international accreditation forundergraduate programme.

All advisers presentdramatically exchanged their opinions around the theme of the meeting. Theyhighly recognized the achievements of School of Business of GDUFS, and putforward several constructive suggestions on many aspects such as talenttraining, construction of teaching staffs, and school-enterprise cooperation ofSchool of Business of GDUFS.

In the end, He Chuantianmade a closing speech. He firstly extended his heartfelt thanks to the insightsand innovative thinking of all advisors, and hoped that they will keep an eyeon and make suggestions to innovation and development of School of Business ofGDUFS. He also pointed out that the School of Business will pay more attentionto the clear positioning of goals, distinctive training of talents, and brandbuilding of disciplines, and we will make constant efforts to build the schoolinto “a high-level school with distinctive international features”.
