Recently, the provincial Academic Degree  Committee of Guangdong issued Notice of the Academic Degree Committee of  Guangdong Province on Establishing the Discipline Assessment Group and the Steering  Committee for Professional Postgraduate Degree Education(No. 7〔2016〕), announcing  a list of members of the Discipline Assessment Group and the Steering  Committee for Professional Postgraduate Degree Education. Some professors from  GDUFS have been appointed. Eight professors were appointed members of the Discipline  Assessment Group and one professor was nominated the convener. Nine  professors were appointed members ofSteering Committee for Professional  Postgraduate Degree Education, and three were nominated the convener. Zhu  Wenzhong, Executive Dean of the School of Business,was elected member of the Steering  Committee forProfessional Postgraduate Degree Education by the 6th Academic  Degree Committee of Guangdong Province.

The Discipline Assessment Group is known as  an academic working group under the guidance of the 6^th Academic  Degree Committee of Guangdong Province, mainly responsible for instructing,  reviewing, studying and providing consultationson academic degree and  postgraduate education. Steering Committee for Professional Postgraduate  Degree Education is an expert organization under the guidance of Academic  Degree Committee of Guangdong Province, engaging in instructing, supervising,  assessing and certifying, studying and providing consultationsonpostgraduate  education for professional degree, made up of the supervisory organizations, industry  associations and experts and leaders recommended by the academic degree  awarding institutions.
