On the morning of January 12, Jean Noel Pachoud, the EU ERASMUS + Project official and the Director for International Affairs of GIP FIPAG, CatalinIlascu, an expert in project quality assessment and Pan Jiawen,a counselor visited GDUFS to discuss with the School of Business on the ERASMUS + LMPT project cooperation. The meeting was held in the No.3 meeting room of the Administration Building. Jiao Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS received the guests.Representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and the School of Business attended the meeting.
Jiao Fangtai extended warm welcome to the visit of Jean Noel Pachoud and other delegates. He mentioned that French Studies is a strong discipline in GDUFS and has cooperation with several French universities. Jiao also said it was a great honor for GDUFS to join in the LMPT project, and it would value the opportunity and aim for a good result. Jean Noel Pachoud said that GDUFS had a strong French teaching team, and teachers and researchers had many opportunities to conduct research in Europe. Cai Hong, the director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department introduced the EU-China European Studies Centers Program. In the afternoon, the guests had an in-depth discussion on further cooperation with relevant project personnel from the School of Business. Others attending the meeting included Zhu Wenzhong, the dean of the School of Business, Yi Zongyong, the deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Liang Jie, the associate dean of the School of Business and Miao Xueling, the director of the ERASMUS+ project. |

GDUFS was approved to join in the Erasmus+ project inNovember, 2011. The Erasmus+ project will grant 990,000 euros to support the3-year long LMPT project, starting from November, 2016 and ending in November,2019, involving 14 universities and institutionsin 7 countries. The School ofBusiness has appointed personnel to take charge of the LMPT project, whichtakes such forms as long-distance course, teaching staff’s exchange visit andcooperative research.
