In the mid summer of May, the 15th Mock Trade Fair grandly opened at two o’clock on the afternoon of May 18 during the 5th management culture festival. Qiu Weinian and Liang Jie, Associate deans of the School of Business, Yang Xin, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and Shang Dan, Liu Fuxian, Yin Yishan and Xie Hangfeng, the counselors attended this ceremony. Qiu Weinian extended his appreciation to the contestants and staffs in his speech. He proposed that the contesting form of “specialist field plus English” not only promoted in-depth learning and application of knowledge among students, but also encouraged them to acquire the use of English in specialist fields, so that more students could put their knowledge into practice.
Original products — scooter luggage, traditional Han Chinese clothing, plant light accessories, non-friable porcelain, skin care products and others are displayed on the 16 booths, a feast for the eyes.
For the 16 groups of exhibitors, the booth is a stage to display the essence and strengths of the brand. This mock trade fair witnesses the exhibitors’ingenious design of the booth. During the trade fair, exhibitors from all the groups presented and demonstrated their products, with the salespeople’s displaying skill holding the key to attract the attention of the buyers. The exhibitors of “iTeeth” dressed up as dental care personnel, which was very impressive.
The biggest highlight of the trade fair was the joining of the buyers, who brought the climax of the fair. The exhibitors and the buyers had brilliant negotiations in English, which is a highly accurate simulation of what happens at the Canton Fair.
