On January 11th, 2019, the seminar on the development of Business Administration Discipline was held at the First Meeting Room of the north campus. Six experts of this field were invited to this seminar, and they were Prof. Li Yuan of Tongji University, Prof. Zhang Yuli of Nankai University, Prof. Li Zhongfei of Sun Yat-sen University, Prof. Liu Xing of Chongqing University, and Prof. Xu Erming of Shantou University. The attendees included Party Secretary of GDUFS Sui Guangjun, Vice President He Chuantian, Vice President Jiao Fangtai, and heads of some relevant departments such as the Development Planning Office, School of Business, School of Accounting, School of Information and Science and Technology, andGuangdong Research Institute for International Studies. The seminar, held by Vice President Jiao Fangtai put forward some suggestions for several aspects such as strengthening the organizational and institutional guarantees at the university level, further adjusting the direction of developing the Business Administration Discipline, transforming the internationalization features into advantages. In addition, the enterprise big data platform was encouraged to be used for high-level research output. The seminar also discussed the major needs and service in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
