On the afternoon of May 8, the Leadership Empowerment and Organization Development Research Center (LEO), a key research center of humanities and social sciences of SOB, held a thesis proposal seminar online. Attendees at the seminar were Professor YANG Aimin, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee and Vice President of GDUFS, Professor YANG Baiyin, Chair of Department of Leadership and Organization Management, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, Professor LIU Xing of Chongqing University, Professor HU Jian, Director of the Soft Power Research Center of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Editor-in-Chief ofSocial Sciences, Professor QIN Xin of Sun Yat-sen University, also Young Chang Jiang Scholar, Mr. CHENG Guanjun, Deputy Secretary General of China Institute for Leadership Science and Assistant Editor-in-Chief ofChina Leadership Science, Professor WANG Weihong, Counselor of Guangdong government and GDUFS, also Member of Guangdong CPPCC, CHEN Ping, Director of Office of Scientific Research, GDUFS, WANG Rongzhen, Deputy Director of the Office. The seminar was presided over by Professor ZENG Chuhong, Vice Dean of SOB. YANG Aimin introduced the establishment and development of GDUFS key research centers of humanities and social sciences, as well as GDUFS discipline construction. CHEN Ping stressed that GDUFS key research centers should reflect the local characteristics of Guangdong Province and integrate with the development of SOB disciplines to achieve a win-win situation. Professor ZENG Chuhong delivered a speech on behalf of SOB. Professor QIU Weinian, Deputy Director of Office of Scientific Research and Director of LEO, Dr. YANG An and Dr. YUAN Fang delivered speeches. After hearing the report from LEO, experts gave in-depth guidance on the development goal, development orientation, team building, talent training and disciplinary development of LEO, and provided valuable advice on the development of the center.
