On the afternoon of May 28, Professor DONG Xiaolin, an expert of GDUFS ideological and political education group, gave an online ideological and political education lecture on “Coordinate Regular Epidemic Containment with Economic and Social Development ” for teachers and students of SOB. Party Secretary of SOB WEI Chuanwen presided over the lecture. In the lecture, DONG Xiaolin, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, talked about the current situation of epidemic control, economic and social development in our country and how to realize the overall promotion of the two. He pointed out that the current main task is to ensure stability on the six fronts (i.e. ensure stability in employment, financial sector, foreign trade, foreign investment, domestic investment, and expectations) and ensure security in the six areas (i.e. ensure security in job, basic living needs, operations of market entities, food and energy security, stable industrial and supply chains, and the normal functioning of primary-level governments). He also gave his view on issues such as financial pressure, employment pressure, price level and Guangdong's development. This online lecture further encouraged SOB teachers and students to unite their thoughts, work hard, and promote all kinds of work. It also provided strong positive energy for the development of SOB and GDUFS.
