In order to win the battle against COVID-19 by mobilizing all resources and blocking the spread of the virus, and to deeply study Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era for improving the ideological and political level and comprehensive quality of students, SOB held two online lectures on ideological and political courses on June 18, 2020. The courses were delivered by WEI Chuanwen, Party Secretary of SOB, and ZHU Wenzhong, Dean of SOB, with teacher YIN Yishan as the host. Undergraduates in grades 2017, 2018 and 2019 participated in the class. Party Secretary WEI Chuanwen concluded the actions of the party members among GDUFS teachers and students during the prevention and control of the epidemic, which reflected socialist core values and demonstrated the pride of GDUFSers. Dean ZHU Wenzhong delivered a speech on the theme of cultivating global business talents and constructing moral conduct under the prevention and control of the epidemic. He concluded that SOB aims to cultivate international high-end business talents with solid professional knowledge, good moral conduct, great ability in cross-cultural communication and application,astrong sense of social responsibility,and the concept of sustainable development. It is hoped that students will also strive to learn with this goal.
