To learn the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping’s speech about the fight against poverty and to fulfill the requirement of “targeted poverty alleviation” issued by the CPC Committee of GDUFS, on December 19, teachers and students of SOB went to Puluzhou Village, Yangshan County, Qingyuan City, a designated village for GDUFS to help alleviate poverty, and carried out a party day theme activity of “Poverty Alleviation and Warmth Sending”. The activity was led by SOB’s Party Secretary, WEI Chuanwen and Deputy Party Secretary, SHEN Changxia. During the activity, teachers and students of SOB visited the designated households living under poverty led by the village’s First Secretary, LIN Anjie. Later, LIN Anjie led teachers and students of SOB to visit the village and introduced in detail the development and the achievement of the village since the poverty alleviation work started by GDUFS. Finally, teachers and students of SOB and the work team staying at the village held a poverty alleviation symposium in CPC Group Service Center of Puluzhou Village, sharing the feeling and experience of poverty alleviation work.

The “Poverty Alleviation and Warmth Sending” Activity serves as an important action of SOB on its way to fulfill the targeted poverty alleviation requirement issued by GDUFS and a significant component of its practice education. According to teachers and students who took part in the activity, through the field investigation and visit of this time, they had a deeper understanding of the hard-won achievements of our country’s poverty alleviation work. And in their later work and study, they will remain true to the original aspiration, keep the mission firmly in mind, and devote themselves to the development of our nation.
