From December 21 to December 22, 2020, SHEN Wei, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University and EQUIS International Accreditation Expert, visited GDUFS and guided the Business Administration’s Discipline Construction, international accreditation, and research cooperation. During the visit, he was appointed as a Yunshan Chair Professor of GDUFS. The appointment ceremony was held at the guest hall of the Administrative Building in GDUFS (North Campus). JIAO Fangtai, Vice Dean of GDUFS on behalf of the university, offered the letter of appointment to SHEN Wei.

On December 21, Symposium on Discipline and Research Cooperation and EQUIS International Accreditation was held at Meeting Room 402 of the 9th Teaching Building in GDUFS (North Campus), MAO Guomin, Director of Human Resources Division of GDUFS, ZHU Wenzhong, Dean of SOB, WEI Chuanwen, Party Secretary of SOB, and others teachers from SOB attended the symposium. After the discussion about the plan of EQUIS International Accreditation with leaders of SOB, SHEN Wei offered specific suggestions to the EQUIS International Accreditation group. DING Hao, Vice Dean of SOB, ZHAO Di, Project Manager of EQUIS International Accreditation, LIU Tianjiao, Supervisor of International Accreditation, Counselor ZHANG Zhe, and HUANG Yongjie, Research Supervisor attended the meeting. DING Hao introduced the accreditation progress and plan of SOB, as well as the mechanism of international accreditation work. SHEN Wei introduced teamwork, work progress, and data preparation in detail, and emphasized on integrating the thinking pattern of accreditation into daily work.

In March 2020, SOB passed the EPAS international accreditation, becoming the third business school in China and 90th in the world to obtain the accreditation. On the premise of ensuring the work of the COVID-19 prevention and control, SOB adjusted its international accreditation plan in a timely manner, and actively promoted the EQUIS accreditation work as its focus. SHEN Wei’s visit played an important role in helping SOB find the direction of accreditation work, directing the work from all dimensions based on international accreditation principles, and promoting the connotation development and constant improvement of SOB.
