At the beginning of 2021, as the cold air swept, the teachers of SOB were concerned about the students receiving military training in winter. In order to learn more about the military training and living conditions of the freshmen enrolled in 2020, on the morning of January 4, Dean of SOB ZHU Wenzhong, Party Secretary of SOB WEI Chuanwen, Vice Deans of SOB including YUAN Denghua, DING Hao, XU Yiqing, Deputy Party Secretary SHEN Changxia and all the counselors of SOB visited the drillmasters and the students at the military training ground, expressing care to the freshmen so as to enhance their confidence and morale. DENG Yongquan, Commander of the Third Battalion of Military Training, and the SOB assistant drillmaster of the Third Battalion took part in the activity together.

First of all, on behalf of the school, ZHU Wenzhong expressed sincere greetings to the drillmasters and students, and recognized the military training as “a compulsory course both in the university and for life”. Then, DENG Yongquan encouraged the students to strictly follow the drillmaster’s instructions and give full play to the spirit of hard work. Finally, the leaders of SOB presented each drillmaster and freshman representative with a well prepared gift and took a group photo. This visit fully reflected SOB’s great attention to military training and care for freshmen, which brought warmth to the students of SOB and encouraged the students to work hard.
