From January 7 to 11, 2021, Professor CHEN Song, Deputy Secretary of School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, visited SOB to guide the work of EQUIS accreditation.

ZHU Wenzhong introduced the strategic path of our School -- “relying on accreditation, promoting construction by evaluation to boost the internal development and continuous improvement of the college”, as well as a series of initiatives taken by the School in strengthening discipline construction, talent training, internationalization and enterprise connection. CHEN Song expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the School in recent years in relying on accreditation, and made valuable suggestions for the next step of accreditation. He emphasized that, EQUIS accreditation is strategically oriented and emphasizes internationalization, social responsibility and corporate connection, and that the School should formulate a five-year plan to leverage on EQUIS accreditation to enhance the influence of the School.

In the following days, CHEN Song gave specific guidance to EQUIS certification team. What’s more, Vice Dean DING Hao, EQUIS certification project leader ZHAO Di, and international certification director LIU Tianjiao attended the meeting. DING Hao introduced the development of our undergraduate and graduate programs. CHEN Song suggested that our School should take the initiative to strengthen the enrollment promotion and explore the fixed-spot enrollment through cooperation with overseas universities. Afterwards, the two sides discussed such issues as how to get in touch with EQUIS Committee and how to fill out the EQUIS DataSheet, thereby clarifying the important time points of the accreditation.
