From April 21 to 22, 2021, SOB's 2021 undergraduate thesis defense was held in the teaching building of the South Campus, and 553 undergraduate graduates participated in the defense. This was the first face-to-face oral defense open to all graduates in a long time in which 63 teachers of SOB were divided into 27 groups to serve as the judges.

During the defense, all graduates were expected to explain their thesis statement, paper framework, research approach, innovative points, etc. Then teachers of defense group carefully commented on and asked questions about the papers while strictly assessing the quality of the papers. In the end, teachers would point out the weaknesses and problems in the papers and put forward suggestions for improvement.

SOB attached great importance to the thesis defense of graduates and therefore this oral defense was strictly carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the University. This defense not only fully demonstrated the professional competence and academic capacity of the students of SOB, but also reflected the continuous improvement of the teaching quality and teaching system of SOB.
