2021-01-06 10:00

On the morning of January 4, 2021, one of the lectures on Business Administration--“Internationalization Process Model and International Start-up Framework: From Phenomenon to Theory” was held in G206 of the Teaching Building. The lecture was delivered by HUANG Sheng, associate professor of Department of Business Administration, SOB. In the lecture, the speaker illustrated the differences between two theoretical viewpoints, internationalization process model and international start-up framework, made some instructions on international business practice and predicted the future development.

HUANG Sheng took Huawei as a typical example to introduce the internationalization process model and explain the phenomenon of gradual internationalization of enterprises. The second theory of this lecture delivered by HUANG Sheng was the international start-up framework. He introduced the background and definition of international start-ups, and explained the basic viewpoints, theoretical advantages and limitations of the international start-up framework.

HUANG Sheng compared the internationalization process model with the international start-up framework, pointed out the different internationalization modes they represent, and concluded that the basic conclusion of the international start-up framework operated against the international process model. He employed a table to summarize and analyze the two theories, which enables students to have a deeper understanding of the theoretical knowledge of enterprise internationalization and better distinguish the phenomenon and general trend of enterprise internationalization.
