On the afternoon of May 6th, the symposium of teachers and students representatives themed “I do the practical work for the masses” was held by SOB in Meeting Room 360 and Meeting Room 366 respectively. Party Committee Secretary of SOB WEI Chuanwen, Dean of SOB ZHU Wenzhong, Deputy Party Secretary SHEN Changxia attended the symposium. Staff representatives of all departments and offices, students representatives of all grades, majors and organizations attended the symposium.

At the symposium, representatives of teachers and students spoke freely about problems in study, work and life based on previous research. The representatives of the faculty discussed and exchanged views on the disciplinary development, teaching and research environment, the professional development for teachers, and the construction of teachers’ communication platform. As a result, constructive suggestions were put forward. The representatives of the students focused on teaching equipment and teaching resources, curriculum and teaching arrangements, extracurricular practice, postgraduate entrance examination, employment, internship guidance and other issues, putting forward their own views.

The symposium themed “I do the practical work for the masses” is an important part of the Party history learning and education activities of SOB. The Party Committee of the School will take this opportunity to put the the important spirit of the speech given by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the campaign on Party history learning and education into practice, further clarify the development direction of the work of the School, comprehensively improve the teaching quality and educational level of the School, improve the satisfaction of teachers and students, and promote the high-quality development of the work of the School.
