Carry forward the Past and Open up the Future | SOB Held a Final Summary Meeting

On the afternoon of July 8, SOB held the online end-of-term summary meeting of the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year. All faculty and staff attended the meeting. WEI Chuanwen presided over the meeting, in which he introduced SOB’s new staff and extended a warm welcome.

ZHU Wenzhong summarized the work of this semester and arranged work for the new semester. He expressed that SOB had achieved gratifying results with the joint efforts of its faculty and staff. In the second half of the year, SOB will continue to promote important tasks such as the construction of first-class majors and first-class courses, discipline evaluation, and international accreditation. He hoped that all faculty and staff will unite their efforts and continue to do their work, continue to overcome the difficulties, and strive for further progress. Then, Vice Deans, YUAN Denghua, ZENG Chuhong, DING Hao, XU Yiqing, and Shen Changxia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, made supplementary speeches respectively. Professor YANG Xiaoyan, a retired faculty member of SOB, shared her experience of teaching in SOB, and expressed her gratitude to the school for its care and support, and expectations and wishes for SOB’s future development.

At the meeting, WEI Chuanwen gave a special lecture on teacher’s ethics. He emphasized that GDUFS and SOB attach great importance to the construction of teacher’s ethics, and have successively formulated relevant regulations and documents, and carried out education on teacher’s ethics regularly. In the end, WEI Chuanwen concluded the meeting and put forward new requirements and expectations for all the faculty and staff.
