On September 6th, 2021, the freshmen meeting for 2021 SOB academic postgraduates was successfully held in Conference Room 360, the office building of the south campus. ZHU Wenzhong, Dean of SOB, WEI Chuanwen, Secretary of the Party Committee of SOB, ZENG Chuhong, Associate Dean of SOB, SHEN Changxia, Deputy Party Secretary, LIU Fanglong, Head of Graduate Studies Division, HUANG Yongjie, Secretary of Graduate Studies Division, SHEN Zhonghua, Counsellor of SOB graduate students and all 2021 postgraduates freshmen attended the meeting. LIU Fanglong presided over the meeting.
Mr. ZHU Wenzhong extended a warm welcome to the freshmen on behalf of the SOB. He pointed out that School of Business of GDUFS is a school that makes every student proud, and every student can definitely learn something here. He expressed his hope that the students will bear in mind the school motto and practice the core values of “SMILE”. At the same time, he reminded the students to abide by the rules in the university, master academic research methods to enhance competitiveness, focus on academic research, and cultivate characteristic research fields. At last, Mr. ZHU wishes the students a bright future. Secretary WEI Chuanwen emphasized the educational idea of cultivating talents for the Party and the State, and put forward three requirements for the freshmen. ZENG Chuhong, Associate Dean of SOB, explained the importance of professional learning and academic research to the freshmen, and he hoped that the students could become highly knowledgeable and professional talents.
During the meeting, students spoke enthusiastically, expressed their yearning and love for the School, and showed their longing for their postgraduate study. At last, SHEN Changxia expressed her wishes and suggestions for the freshmen. She reminded the students to strictly abide by the requirements of pandemic prevention and control, to pay attention to their health, to keep a good mental state, to be steadfast and enterprising, and to make continuous progress.
