On October 23, 2021, SOB of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) invited LUO Guoxing, Chief Lecturer of Korn/Ferry International, to give a lecture on "Enterprises' Transformation and Change Management" to MBA (Guangzhou Class) of HKBU. Professor YUAN Denghua of SOB, GDUFS hosted the lecture.
LUO Guoxing, in light of his experience and professional field, explained the core methods of "Enterprises' Transformation and Change Management" with a focus on three aspects, including "Why shall we discuss enterprise transformation?", "How did IBM effectively control changes in the transformation process", and "How can enterprises grasp future opportunities at the macro level". His lectures enabled the participants to realize the need of grasping the important opportunities brought by cultivating the first-mover advantage in the crisis and reshaping the situation in the change. Among others, discipline knowledge and macro strategy shall be integrated into enterprise management and the strategic change thinking be strengthened. In doing so, we can empower the transformation and development of enterprises, and hence achieve greater success in practice management.
Around the theme and content of enterprises' transformation and change management, all participants deeply thought about the development trajectory, trend, opportunities and risks of their enterprises and industries, as well as how to lay their foundation of development in the wave of the great era. In the Q&A session, Mr LUO fully exchanged experiences and problem-solving ideas with the participants, from which both the participating teachers and students benefited greatly.
The participants said after listening to Mr LUO's wonderful lecture, they not only enhanced their understanding of professional theories, but also had in-depth thinking of enterprises' various development bottlenecks. Through the exchanges, they were also able to learn from the experience and practices of excellent industries or enterprises to solve similar problems encountered in daily management.
