2021-11-08 10:35

On November 4th, the School of Business (SOB) held the 12th Freshmen Choir Festival and celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the auditorium of the South Campus. SHEN Changxia, Deputy Party Secretary of SOB, YANG Xin from Publicity Department of the Party Committee of SOB, WANG Rui from the School of Art, and HUANG Xing from the School of Economics and Trade attended the event. All counselors from SOB and all freshmen of the class of 2021 participated in the event.

With each freshman class performing one red song, this year’s festival encouraged all the freshmen of SOB to sing the high-spirited red songs in admiration of the revolutionary elders and with wishes for the centenary of the founding of the Party. Besides red songs, English songs were also performed by the freshmen, making the festival more diversified and international, bringing out the mission of SOB to cultivate international high-end business talents.

Fifteen classes from the class of 2021 of SOB performed the classic red songs in various forms like recitation and dance, which fully conveyed the students’ deep attachment to and sincere praise for the great motherland.

This event helped the freshmen of SOB further develop a sense of identity towards their alma mater and class, showcased the good spirit of SOB students, and inspired more students to learn the Party history and strengthen their beliefs and follow the Party through singing classic songs.
