On December 9, the School of Business and the School of Economics and Trade jointly held a lecture on promoting the learning of the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development in the Library Lecture Hall of the South Campus to call for efforts to study the Party’s history, understand its theories, do practical work and make new advances. The lecture was given by WANG Xue, associate professor of the School of Marxism, and presided by SHEN Changxia, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SOB.

Presenting a report entitled “New China, New Period, New Era”, WANG Xue reviewed the whole process of the foundation and development of the socialist system from three historical stages: New China, New Period and New Era. The lecture further enhanced the participants’ awareness and understanding of the histories of the Party, New China, the reform and opening-up, and socialist development across Chinese society.
