To receive guidance on preparations for the upcoming semester, SOB's leaders, together with their counterparts of the School of Accounting, attended an inspection meeting at 10:30 on February 21, 2022, in Conference Room 315 of the South Campus Office Building, and reported to Vice President HE Chuantian. The meeting was attended by XIE Yingdong (Director of Student Affairs Office), YANG Xiaohui (Director of Academic Affairs Office), LI Leling (Deputy Director of Personnel Office), ZHONG Zuchang(Researcher of Guangdong Institute of International Strategies and also the head of the dependent research units of the SOB) and YANG Yongcong (Researcher of Center for Cantonese Merchants Research).

ZHU Wenzhong introduced the situation of the returned teachers and students and the preparation for the new semester. He made a brief report on the work in the previous year. ZHU put forward the opportunities and challenges faced by the School for future work, including the introduction of high-end talents needed for the construction of the doctoral programs and the declaration of major national projects, etc. He expressed his hope for more support from the university. After listening to the reports of the two schools, HE Chuantian made positive comments on the preparation for the new semester. He emphasized the priorities of the school again. He stressed that two schools should focus on preparing for the declaration of the doctoral programs, and strive for the next round of discipline assessment to upgrade the position. Leaders of SOB indicated that they would live up to their responsibilities and exert all their strength to complete their tasks as early as possible.
