On May 19, 2022, SOB held an enlarged meeting among study groups for leading Party officials and a meeting on the construction of scientific research integrity in Conference Room 103 of the ninth teaching building of the north campus and in the Tencent VooV meeting room. All the faculty members of SOB attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by ZENG Chuhong, Vice Dean of SOB.

At the meeting, WEI Chuanwen, Secretary of the Party Committee of SOB, led the faculty to learn the important viewpoints on integrity put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping and emphasized that integrity reflected the morality of teachers. He said that college teachers who shoulder the significant mission of cultivating high-level talents should have both scientific and cultural knowledge and professional ethics.

ZHAO Deqiang, Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Office, was invited to give an educational speech on the theme of “Promoting the Spirit of Scientists and Strengthening the Construction of Scientific Research Integrity”. ZHAO Deqiang gave a detailed interpretation of the necessity of scientific research integrity, academic norms and guidelines, academic misconduct, and typical cases. Finally, ZENG Chuhong summarized the meeting and analyzed the situation of the second-class and above papers published by the faculty of SOB since 2019.
