“Ten-thousand Talents Plan” in 2022-- "'The Ancient Port in New Charm': The Practical Workshop on the Inheritance of Commercial Culture of the Greater Bay Area in the New Era" Is Successfully Completed

From July 7th to 16th, 2022, the 10-day "'The Ancient Port in New Charm': The Practical Workshop on the Inheritance of Commercial Culture of the Greater Bay Area in the New Era” was successfully completed. This workshop was approved by the Ministry of Education in the "Ten Thousand People Plan" in 2022. It was held by SOB. More than 70 students from Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the four central cities in the Greater Bay Area, participated in the workshop.

At the closing ceremony on the 16th, KE Xiaohua, the Director of the Office of International Affairs and Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, stressed the significance of this workshop. ZHU Wenzhong, Dean of SOB, praised the students for their excellent performance. LIU Chengkun, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development of Macau University of Science and Technology, pointed out the diversity and pertinence of the curriculum. DING Hao, Vice Dean of SOB, also praised the students for their active performance and expressed his gratitude to the university and the school for their support.

This workshop has deepened students' systematic understanding of the traditional commercial culture in the Greater Bay Area and enhanced their pride and sense of mission in inheriting the culture. At the same time, it also provided a platform for cooperation and exchange among universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Students have increased knowledge and enhanced friendship through joint study and research.
