On the evening of May 30th, School of Business held a lecture on the enlistment and mobilization policy for college students on Tencent Meeting. WEI Chuanwen, Party Secretary of SOB, SHEN Changxia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SOB, ZHU Yonghai, Chief of the National Defense Education Section of the Armed Forces Department, all counselors, Yestey Bakhtijan, a retired soldier of Class 2023, and student representatives of all grades attended the lecture.

At the lecture, WEI Chuanwen introduced the enlistment situation of SOB students in previous years and called on students to actively respond to the national call and establish the lofty goal of serving the country. Zhu Yonghai gave a comprehensive and detailed explanation on the purpose of enlistment, the registration process and the preferential policies at state-level and school-level. Yestey Bakhtijan talked about his experience of enlisting by dividing it into three stages, namely “before joining the army”, “joining the army” and “after being discharged from the army”.

Shen Changxia concluded the lecture by encouraging students to turn their patriotism into military service, and by encouraging more students to join the military. Through the lecture, students of SOB raised their awareness of their responsibility to defend the motherland, and had a deeper understanding of the significance of college students’ enlistment on national defense.
