On December 22, 2022, YU Lean, a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and National Special Support Program for High-level Talents, a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor of Sichuan University, was invited to give a special lecture about “Writing and Analysis on Common Issues of National Science Programs” for SoB teachers. Associate Deans YUAN Denghua and HAN Xiaohua attended the lecture.

Professor YUAN Denghua first briefly introduced the experience and main scientific research results of Professor YU Lean, stressed his major achievements in relative fields, and encouraged teachers of SoB to exchange ideas and learn from him. Starting from the title and abstract of NSFC applications, Professor YU Lean underlined the importance of a concise, precise, professional and readable title.

Later, he carefully resolved questions raised by teachers present on suggestions and techniques of topic selection, and application writing. Professor HAN Xiaohua highly recognized this lecture for boosting SoB’s application of high-level programs, and thanked Professor YU for his systematic, specialized and inspiring speech.
