On January 5, 2023, SoB and Alibaba (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd jointly held the Special Campaign of Promoting Employment Through Visiting Enterprises and Enlarging Positions and the first “Dreams in Business” recruitment meeting of 2023. KANG Weimao, Director of the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Center of GDUFS, MIAO Lei, Deputy Director of the Center, XIAO Ximing, Party Secretary of SoB, SHEN Changxia, Deputy Party Secretary, and SoB’s counselors of all grades attended the meeting.

MIAO Lei pointed out that SoB brought its discipline advantages into full play by opening a specialized class of cross-border e-commerce with Alibaba.com to facilitate students’ study and practice of cross-border e-commerce abilities. According to XIAO Ximing, this recruitment meeting was supported by the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Center of GDUFS which provided a great platform for talent exchange between SoB and enterprises. In the meeting, JIN Songbo made a detailed introduction to concepts, industrial development and distinctions of cross-border B2B. He also explained the position and functions of Alibaba.com by case.

The double election meeting which deepened the integration between industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation was able to relieve students’ employment crunch during the COVID-19 pandemic, and further boost the development and employment of business majors in high quality.
