From July 2 to 3, 2025, School of Business (SoB) held the “Workshop on Empirical Research Methods” as part of the academic forum series “Sixty Years of Glory, Shaping the Future of Business” at Meeting Room No. 6, Administration Building, University Town Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Professor WANG Yu and Dr. HAO Shuai from School of Business, Southern University of Science and Technology, were invited as keynote speakers, delivering systematic lectures and in-depth discussions on core topics such as causal inference, case analysis, and academic publishing. The workshop was chaired by HAN Xiaohua, Executive Dean of SoB. The two-day workshop featured an intensive and comprehensive agenda covering causal inference theory, empirical analysis methods, academic writing, and journal publication strategies, attracting active participation from numerous faculty members and students. The sessions not only clarified the key logic of empirical research but also provided practical research techniques and methodological tools, offering important guidance for improving future research quality and academic communication skills.
