On May 8, 2025, the Economics and Management Division of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) successfully held a joint theoretical study session in the first conference room of Administration Building, University Town Campus. Professor HE Chuantian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of GDUFS, delivered a keynote presentation on the theme “Advancing Theoretical Study in Depth and Substance, focusing on the Cultivation of Urgently Needed Talents”. The session was attended by about 60 participants, including the leadership teams of the School of Economics and Trade, School of Business (SoB), School of Accounting, and School of Finance, as well as department heads and secretaries of the teachers’ party branches. The session was clear, well-structured, and highly focused. It offered an in-depth discussion on how to better advance discipline development and talent cultivation in the context of the new era and new journey, providing valuable direction and insights for the Economics and Management Division in strengthening academic programs and cultivating urgently needed talents.
