On the afternoon of March 14, 2025, Business Academic Forum Session 80 was held as scheduled. Tenured Associate Professor HUA Bolin from the Department of Information Management at Peking University was invited to give a lecture to our faculty and students on the topic “DeepSeek’s Key Innovations and Usage Techniques.” Professor HAN Xiaohua, Associate Dean of SoB, presided over the lecture. Professor Hua provided a detailed introduction to the creation and application of deep learning APIs, covering the API application process, usage methods, and code invocation. At the same time, he analyzed the costs of large-model training and the computing resource requirements, as well as their broad applications in tasks such as mathematics, dialogue, translation, and writing. He also deeply explored the efficiency of APIs in processing massive data and the hardware requirements for deploying large models locally. The lecture was rich in content, encompassing trends in AI technology development, real-world applications, and frontier explorations, offering the audience profound insights and practical guidance.
