On the morning of April 10, 2023, Associate Professor and Doctoral Advisor MA Shaozhuang from the University of Lisbon, Visiting Scholar at the University of Queensland, Australia, was invited to hold an academic seminar for SoB faculty and students titled “Growing Through Publishing in International Journals: Thresholds, Benefits, and Strategies for Publishing Papers in International Journals.” DING Hao, Associate Dean of SoB and Director of the Institute for Portuguese-speaking Countries Studies, attended and presided over the lecture. More than 10 faculty and student representatives of SoB participated in the event. As the lecture was nearing its end, DING Hao, on behalf of the Institute for Portuguese-speaking Countries Studies, appointed Associate Professor MA Shaozhuang as a Research Fellow of the institute and presented him with a letter of appointment.

This lecture explained to SoB faculty and students the thresholds, benefits, and strategies of publishing papers in international journals. It helps cultivate international mindsets among SoB’s faculty and students and enhance individual academic literacy, and is of great significance for advancing SoB’s development into a “high-level business school with distinctive international characteristics.”
