On the afternoon of April 21, a delegation from Idea Touch Travel Japan, led by President Akiko Miyazaki and joined by Deputy General Managers CHEN Qi and YANG Meihua, visited SoB to discuss cooperation on study tour programs and an overseas internship base in Japan. The meeting was attended by XU Yiqing, Deputy Minister of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department; DING Hao, Associate Dean of SoB; LIU Tianjiao, Director of the Office of International Accreditation and Exchange; and YU Qianqian, Head of International Affairs of the MBA Education Center. Speaking fluent Chinese, Miyazaki reviewed her 20 years in China and noted the great potential of China-Japan cooperation. She suggested that both sides could build on study tour programs to expand further industry-academia-research collaboration, strengthen mutual trust, and enhance exchanges. CHEN introduced the development and philosophy of Idea Touch, which is committed to connecting business resources across Japan and supporting the growth of Chinese institutions and enterprises. He expressed hope to develop more tailored study tour programs in partnership with SoB. YANG pointed out that “check-in” style tours are outdated and proposed starting with online expert salons to help students understand industry challenges before designing targeted study tours that would allow them to gain deeper insights into Japanese enterprises and improve management perspectives.
Both sides also held in-depth discussions on the details of study tours for MBA students and alumni. They agreed to finalize cooperation mode and customized content as soon as possible, so as to provide students with more international learning and practice opportunities.
