“Contemporary youth should embrace a broad strategic vision, rise above personal gains and losses, and set lofty aspirations.” On the occasion of the Youth Day, President YAN Xiangbin joined young teachers and students for a cordial exchange. Together, they discussed youthful ideals and reflected on the mission of their generation. President YAN Xiangbin encouraged young faculty and students to embody the May Fourth spirit through youthful dedication, and to seek the spiritual compass of today’s youth in the clash of ideas.
At the event, teachers and students envisioned growth from diverse perspectives, linking their professional pursuits with the pressing challenges of the times. A young faculty representative, focusing on “Core Competitiveness in the AI Era”, shared insights into the evolving philosophy of education. Student representatives, drawing on their experiences in rural revitalization, military service, and scientific research, explored how to live up to their mission in their respective fields. They responded to the call to “remain down-to-earth, learn through practice, and take up the nation’s foremost mission through concrete action”.
