On the morning of April 18, 2025, SHEN Minghao, Member of Standing Committee and Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), led a delegation to the venue of the 137th edition of the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) to learn about School of Business (SoB) students’ work and to extend greetings to those on internship duty. YUAN Denghua, Executive Dean of (SoB), SHEN Changxia, Deputy Chairperson of SoB, and counselors QIN Yu, LIU Fuxian, HUANG Guanfu, and WANG Siqin accompanied the visit.

In the spring of 2025, SoB sent a total of 396 students to participate in internships at the 137th Canton Fair. Students were mainly assigned to the Foreign Liaison Department, Certificate Center, Comprehensive Management Department, and other units. Their responsibilities included overall coordination, on-site research, consultation services, client reception, and translation work. The Canton Fair internship provides our students with a practical platform to broaden their horizons, showcase their abilities, and enhance their business acumen. Students expressed that they will cherish this opportunity, work diligently, grow through practical experience, and actively contribute to the high-quality development of the national economy and China’s high-level opening-up.
