To thoroughly implement the “visiting businesses to exploring employment opportunities” initiative, further strengthen university–enterprise collaboration, and promote the high-quality and sufficient employment of the 2023 graduates, School of Business (SoB), together with Alibaba (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd., held the first online job fair of 2023 on January 5. The event was attended by KANG Weimao, Director of the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Center, Miao Lei, Deputy Director, XIAO Ximing, Chairperson of SoB, SHEN Changxia, Deputy Chairperson of SoB, and counselors of all grade levels. Representatives from 15 leading enterprises and nearly 150 students participated. The job fair was hosted by JIN Songbo, Enterprise Mentor from Alibaba International Station. Building on SoB’s successfully approved MOE Supply-Demand Matching Education Project and leveraging its cross-border e-commerce specialty program in partnership with Alibaba International Station, the event featured a dedicated session on E-commerce and Cross-border Trade. A total of 15 enterprises offered more than 30 positions. By deepening industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, the job fair helped ease students’ employment challenges in the aftermath of the pandemic and supported business students in achieving high-quality development and better career opportunities.
